The new Coco ride is coming to Disney California Adventure!
In 2024 at D23: The Ultimate Fan Experience, Josh D’Amaro revealed the first-ever Coco attraction would be making its way to Disneyland Resort, and we finally know where it will be!
Disney just shared that the new attraction will be built near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier in areas that are mostly backstage today. Looks like this, along with the Avengers Campus additions, will add lots of space to the park!
We can’t wait to join Miguel and Hector in the land of the dead in California Adventure! The brand-new attraction will be filled with characters and music from the famous Pixar film.
The ride will be a boat ride inspired by classic attractions like Haunted Mansion and the Pirates of the Caribbean. The ride will use the latest audio-animatronics technology so the cast of skeleton characters will “appear in ways you’ll have to see to believe.”
When looking at the new concept art and the Disney California Adventure map, we’re predicting this attraction will be placed behind Incredicoaster and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind. That’s because in the concept art, you can see Incredicoaster off to the left. It’s just a thought for now, but you know we’ll be keeping an eye on it in the parks!
We can’t wait to see the land of the dead come to life! While we wait for even more details, you can bet we’ll be practicing our singing to enjoy every second of the ride. The new Coco ride isn’t the only addition coming to California Adventure. Avengers Campus is experiencing a big expansion as well!
The land will be adding two new attractions called Avengers: Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. Robert Downey Jr. will be reprising his role as Tony Stark for the new coaster, which has us buzzing.
Not only is Avengers Campus growing, but Disney also announced a brand new Avatar ride! The brand-new ride will expand the world of Pandora and be unlike what we already have in Animal Kingdom.
We can’t wait for all of these changes to come to California Adventure and we finally have an idea of what this park will begin to look like. Don’t forget to keep following AllEars for all of your Disney news and updates.
