Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood

We know the ins and outs of Disney World, including all the dining options. We want to make sure you have all the information you need to plan the best Disney World vacation for your family, so we are constantly reviewing restaurants. We recently stopped by Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood at Disney’s Coronado Springs, and are bringing you our FULL review!

Background

Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood is inspired by surrealist art and the 1930s avant-garde. On the menu you will find Spanish flavors infused in tapas, steaks, and seafood. Who would have thought based on the name of the restaurant?

Toledo at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Toledo features an on-stage tapas kitchen, and the chefs put lots of special care into all of their dishes. Additionally, you can choose from over 50 Spanish wines that are hand-selected by Toledo’s Master Sommelier.

Toledo

Toledo is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and is only open for dinner from 5 PM until 10 PM on the other days, so plan accordingly. We don’t want you all excited for Toledo on a Monday or Tuesday, only to find out it is closed!

Here’s what you need to know about dining at this restaurant.

Atmosphere

You will find Toledo on the rooftop of the Gran Destino Tower. Yep, this restaurant has a VIEW. The restaurant serves up Spanish flavors with gorgeous views of the surrounding area. It is hard to beat a delicious meal on the eaten from the rooftop of a hotel.

You will even find a pair of olive trees in the restaurant, hanging out below beautiful, vaulted ceilings. The restaurant has a more elevated atmosphere, while still feeling relaxed.

Now let’s take a blook at what we are eating!

Food & Drinks

First up, we grabbed The Spaniard for Two which costs $38. This dish features the chef’s signature selection of artisanal charcuterie and cheeses. It is hard to go wrong with a charcuterie board, and we devoured this one. It contained a great selection of meats and cheeses, and it was the perfect start to our meal.

The Spaniard for Two

We also got the Smoked Pork Chop for $34. It is served with spinach fonduta, Secreto, potato velouté, and crispy chorizo. We just have to say, this pork chop was amazing. The pork chop was tender and very juicy. It had a wonderfully caramelized crust on the outside. The dish has a great balance of savory with a hint of sweetness. The spinach on the bottom was delicious and we love that the fried chorizo added a bit of heat.

Smoked Pork Chop

We also tried the Olive Oil Potato Puree for $8.50. These were some of the best mashed potatoes we have ever had. They were oh so creamy, with a hint of cheese and olive oil. We think this is a must-get side if you are a fan of mashed potatoes, we don’t think you will regret ordering it.

Olive Oil Potato Puree

For dessert, we grabbed the Basque Cheesecake for $10. The Basque Cheesecake is made with honey-vanilla sauce, almond crunch, honey-quince glazed seasonal fruit, white chocolate Chantilly cream, and hibiscus tuile.

Basque Cheesecake

This dish was so pretty, and it was a great way to end our meal. We were impressed that you could taste all the separate flavors, and they melded together to form a delicious dessert. While it may not top the pork chop or Olive Oil Potato Puree, it was a very satisfying dessert.

Magic or Tragic?

This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…

  • You are looking for a delicious Spanish meal. This restaurant focuses on Spanish flavors, so if you have been craving a good Spanish meal, you need to make a stop at Toledo.
  • You want to enjoy your meal with a view. Since Toledo is located on the roof of the Gran Destino Tower, you get some lovely views of the surrounding area.
  • You want to get out of the hustle and bustle of the parks and have a tasty meal. Toledo is located at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, so it offers a bit calmer atmosphere than dining in the parks. It will take a bit more effort to get to, but we think it is worth it.

You should skip this Disney World spot if…

  • You are on a tight budget. While we really enjoyed the food here, it is on the more expensive side. If your family is on a tight budget, this may not be a good option.
  • You have picky eaters in your group. Toledo is focused on Spanish flavors, and they execute this vision well. However, that also means that there might not be something for everyone. Make sure to check the menu ahead of time to make sure everyone can find something they will enjoy!
  • You want to meet characters while you dine. While Toldeo offers some great views of the area, you won’t be viewing any characters while you are here. Opt for a different restaurant if you are looking to meet characters while you eat.
