What if we told you there was a ride BEFORE you enter the parks at Disney World?

You might be tempted to skip this part of your day and say, “I can walk faster,” but you’ll miss out on this amazing experience.
Could you guess we were talking about the parking trams? We love them!

Parking trams are cute vehicles that zoom around parking lots, taking guests from the front to different stops along the rows of cars.

You don’t need to make a reservation or pay anything. All you do is wait for them in the designated areas and hop on!

They’re amazing for conserving energy in the morning before you spend hours on your feet and at the end of the day when you’re just ready to get back to your car.

You might see a long line for them and decide you’re better off walking. You’re right, walking to your car might actually be faster but if you’re just too tired to take another step, waiting for a few minutes for them can be worth it.

The best part about trams is that they’re also just fun! We love meeting Cast Members and hearing them tell jokes, facts, or tips about Disney Parks. Sometimes, they even have a pin board out to trade with.

For little ones (okay, and big ones) who love transportation like the Skyliner and Monorail, the parking tram is another fun stop you have to add to your list.

Whether you need an energy boost or just want to add a fun stop on your way to the Ticketing and Transportation Center, grabbing a ride on the trams can be a great choice.

Are you a parking tram fan? Let us know in the comments!
On the tram after a LONG day at the Magic Kingdom, the operator told us that if our car wouldn’t start or we were locked out, to walk to the end of the aisle, put a traffic cone on our head, jump up and down, wave our arms, and yell and they will know we need help.
They bring back memories of our family going to WDW in the eighties, back when we had to stay off property, drive in, and park. It was exciting to see which character’s section of the lot we parked in.
If Disney wanted to make a fortune, they would sell Lightning Lane passes to skip the lines for the parking-lot trams after the fireworks end. Instant huge revenue stream.
