Figment fans, listen up! You might be seeing more of your favorite purple dragon soon.

Disney had its Annual Shareholder Meeting yesterday, and we learned some interesting updates, including more about the Lion King attraction coming to Disneyland Paris. However, we stopped listening once we heard FIGMENT NEWS.
Bob Iger himself (the CEO of Disney, by the way) said word for word, “I’m going to ask our creative team to consider making some form of series or short-form videos of Figment.” AHHH!

And to make sure we weren’t imagining it all, Disney Parks confirmed the news on Instagram and X that Figment could be getting a new series.

Figment has always been a popular character inside the parks and is an icon for the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts and EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. We still have nightmares about the 6.5-hour line to get the very first Figment popcorn bucket in 2022.

In 2023, Disney started a meet-and-greet for the purple dragon in ImageWorks, the play area at the end of his attraction. When the meet-and-greet first started, the lines were also insane, but they have since calmed down (and we even once caught him entering a meet-and-greet alone ðŸ˜).

We have no idea what these “short-form videos” or series will be, when they will come, or IF they will come, but it looks pretty promising if the CEO of Disney says he’s going to do something about it. Iger said he gets asked all the time if Figment will be used more in the parks, and he must be over everyone asking! Persistence works, people!

There’s no news on anything happening at the Imagination Pavillion or Journey Into Imagination with Figment, but maybe, if this short-form content is popular, a ride update could be coming in the future. We would love to see the ride restored to its original glory and maybe even include our old pal Dreamfinder. We noticed a lot of Dreamfinder and Figment art pieces at this year’s Festival of the Arts.

We’re going to be singing “One Little Spark” all day and will be not so patiently waiting to hear more news on Figment content. Until then, keep following AllEars to stay up to date on everything Disney.
