Southwest Airlines and Expedia are teaming up to provide a new and easy way to book flights for the popular budget airline.

For the first time, Southwest flights will be available on online travel agency Expedia, as well as the other sites in the Expedia family of brands including Travelocity, Hotwire, Orbitz, and CheapTickets. According to the companies, this availability will include the “airline’s entire network of 117 destinations in 11 countries, including the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean allowing customers more booking opportunities.”
The partnership, which began in the final week of February 2025, will also leverage Expedia Group’s “advanced data analytics and AI-driven tools” to “efficiently reach more than 10 million average daily visitors across Expedia Group sites and deliver a seamless booking experience” according to the airline.

Tony Roach, Executive Vice President of Customer & Brand at Southwest, said of the deal “We are pleased to continue broadening our distribution network through this cost-effective agreement with Expedia. We look forward to welcoming new travelers to our extensive network, inviting them to experience our unique Southwest Hospitality.”
Greg Schulze, Expedia Group Chief Commercial Officer, added, “Southwest Airlines is a beloved brand known for its customer-first service and operational excellence. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to offer the most travel options and deliver exceptional value to our customers.”

Southwest and Expedia have teamed up, giving travelers a much easier route to booking flights on the low-cost carrier. Stay tuned to AllEars for more travel industry updates.
