We’re back with some huge Disney news — this time about virtual queues!

When Disney opens a brand new attraction, it typically uses a virtual queue system to help control crowds and lines. This was the case for TRON Lightcycle / Run, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and Rise of the Resistance, but those attractions have since said goodbye to virtual queues. Now, after three years, it’s another ride’s turn!
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opened in EPCOT on May 27th, 2022 and there are two ways to ride — virtual queue or Lightning Lane Single Pass. However, on February 25th, 2025, that changes because the virtual queue is going away!

Now, the popular coaster will offer a standby line in lieu of the virtual queue. We’ve seen how difficult it can be to score a virtual queue spot so it will be interesting to see how high the wait times get for this attraction.
The virtual queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is also coming to an end on February 25th. After this change, there will be no ride in Disney World requiring a virtual queue.

Like many other fan-favorite rides, Cosmic Rewind will still offer Lightning Lane Single Pass if you wish to skip the line. Recently we’ve seen prices around $16-$19 per person for the Single Pass.

We expect ride virtual queues to return when Disney opens its new highly-anticipated attractions including the Cars area in Frontierland, Villains Land in Magic Kingdom, and Monsters, Inc. Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We’ll, of course, keep you updated on every change as it comes.
