I Go to Disney World Every Day, and These Are Some of the Most Bizarre (but Incredible) Things I’ve Ever Done.

Our team goes to Disney World every day to help bring you all the latest vacation tips and hacks.

AllEars Cast at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

While getting to work from the Most Magical Place on Earth is a dream job, sometimes, they are asked to do some strange things and even go out of their comfort zone. We asked our team to share the most bizarre yet incredible things they have ever done, and we wanted to share their answers with you!

Let’s take a look behind the scenes at what it is like to be an AllEars reporter and YouTuber.

The team!

Walking Ridiculous Amounts

It is no secret that a trip to Disney World can include a lot of walking, and that is why we always recommend packing a comfortable pair of shoes. Our team sometimes covers multiple parks in a day, or a challenge causes them to backtrack, resulting in even more steps. There are days when some of our team walks close to 40,000 steps!

Comfortable shoes are a must!

Brought a Tray to the Parks

Sometimes, we try multiple dishes and drinks at EPCOT’s festivals or at Disney World’s quick service locations. In order to not struggle trying to juggle so many items, our reporters bring in their personalized trays to make transporting their food even easier!

Trays can make festival days so much easier.

Ate Way Too Much Food

Speaking of EPCOT Festivals, our reporters go and try EVERYTHING at each of the food booths. That is a lot of food, even when it is divided for multiple people to conquer. Let’s just say our reporters leave festival days fully stuffed!

Carried Food to Other Parts of the Park

Sometimes, our reporters end up having to carry their food or a merchandise item to another part of the park to get the perfect photo. There is no denying that Cinderella Castle is a beautiful backdrop!

Sage has even admitted that he has taken his lunch from Casey’s Corner all the way over to the semi-abandoned Tomorrowland Terrace for some peace and quiet!

Joined a Meeting from the Parks

While our reporters are in the park working, sometimes they like to join our team meetings and bring their laptops to the parks. We even have writers go to the park to work and get a change of atmosphere.

Tomorrowland Terrace is a great place to get some work done in the Magic Kingdom.

Went to the Parks During a Hurricane

As journalists, it is our team’s job to keep you up to date on all the latest Disney news, and that includes reporting during a hurricane. Shockingly enough, Magic Kingdom’s Halloween decorations ended up showing up during a hurricane last year!

Tested So Many Different Disney World Essentials

We are always recommending Disney World essentials for you to pack, but before we recommend them, we like to try them out first! Our reporters have tried so many different shoes, chargers, bags, ear holders, and first aid kits.

One of our reporters shared that they were not looking forward to trying the shoe covers that we recommend but ended up LOVING them!

Tried New Foods

We ask our reporters to get out of their comfort zones, and that means trying food that they might not like. The good news is that a majority of the time, they end up liking food that they thought they did not like, like octopus or mushrooms!

Done Things Over and Over and Over Again

When a new ride opens, or something changes, sometimes our team has to do the same thing over and over again to ensure they get all the footage. One time, Sage had to ride the Aerophile in Disney Springs twice in a day, which is probably two times more than the average Disney World visitor.

Worn Costumes into the Park

Some of our AllEars YouTube Challenges get serious, and there have been times when our team has worn disguises and costumes in the park. Sage and Breedlove have both worn wigs and even a dress to get into character.

Making a List of Pre-Filtered Questions

It can be nerve-wracking to talk to characters, especially when filming them. Our team has a list of pre-filtered questions to help make interactions a little less awkward.

Hey, Figment!

Here are our parameters:

  • The question must be a yes or no question. If not it must be a question that is easily pantomimed. This is especially helpful for non-face characters.
  • The question must remain “in world” for the character.
  • Ask to take a picture to end the conversation.

Competed in Crazy Challenges

Besides getting dressed up in the park, our team has been asked to do some pretty embarrassing things for our viewer’s entertainment. Emma shared that it was a strange experience to carry a doll and pretend it was her baby.

Myranda shared that having to do physical exercise alongside Emma, like planks and push-ups, is the most embarrassing she has ever been at Disney World. While these experiences might not have been incredible for them, it sure was incredible for us as viewers!
