NEWS: A Popular Disney World Hotel Announces Nearly Year-Long Refurbishment

Another Disney World hotel will be undergoing a lengthy refurbishment soon!

Everything Pop Shopping and Dining has been under an extended refurbishment at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. The food court is expected to be completely done in April of 2025, but new refurbishment construction will be starting soon and last until 2026!

Rooms at Disney’s Pop Century Resort will be undergoing refurbishment from March 2025 until February 2026! That’s almost a year-long refurbishment around this popular Value resort.

We also spotted three permits for the refurbishment. JCQ Services, Inc. will be performing general construction at various buildings at the resort, according to the permits. While the Disney World website states that the refurbishment will last until mid-February 2026, the permits are dated to expire in August 2026. This timeline variation may just be a buffer in case the refurbishment doesn’t go as planned.

On the Disney World website, guests are ensured that all amenities will be available to them during the refurbishment. However, you may experience noise due to the construction around the resort.

If you’re planning to stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort over the coming year, be aware that there will be construction at various buildings from March 2025 until February 2026. Pop Century is one of Disney’s Value resorts that offers a lower price than the Moderate and Deluxe hotels. It is located next to the Disney Skyliner for easy access to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. There are multiple pools and a food court to enjoy.
