If you have ever visited Disney World, you probably know that one thing to expect from your trip is that you’ll be spending time waiting in lines.

For rides, some of those lines can mean wait times of multiple hours, especially when the parks are busy, which can waste a lot of your valuable vacation time. Of course, you can always pay for Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, or Lightning Lane Premier Pass, but for select rides, there’s a faster line that you may not know about.
Okay, so maybe you know about the Single Rider Line option that’s available at select rides, but we bet you may not have a full list of rides where you can use, especially since a few new rides have started offering Single Rider options.
What is the Single Rider Line
You’ll notice signs at select rides in Disney World that direct you to the Single Ride Line. This line is designed for single riders. This is how it works: Disney World Cast Members do their best to fill in every space on those rides. They’ll pull people from the single rider line to fill those seats.

For example, if a ride vehicle seats three, but only two are currently seated, a Cast Member will direct a third person from the Single Rider line to fill that empty seat. This helps Disney keep rides running at capacity, but also offers you a way to ride with a potentially shorter wait.

Note that Disney World does not guarantee that a Single Rider will have a shorter wait than those in the standby line, but those lines do tend to move faster than regular standby lines. Note that if you are with a group and you all opt to wait in the Single Rider line, your group will probably be split up.
How Do I Find The Single Rider Line?
You’ll be able to find the Single Rider Line by looking for signs that say “Single Rider” — those signs will direct you where to go.

If all else fails, though, you can always ask a Cast Member.
What Rides Offer Single Rider?
You may not be aware of ALL the rides in Disney World that offer this, especially as some new rides have started to offer Single Rider recently. This includes Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT. These are highly popular rides with average standby wait time of an hour or longer, so the Single Rider line could save you a lot of time.

Other rides that offer Single Rider include:
- Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Note that Test Track in EPCOT also previously offered a Single Rider line, but at the moment, the ride is closed and being reimagined. We don’t know yet if the Single Rider line will return when the ride reopens.
