Happy 2025! We hope you had a wonderful New Year’s Eve and are excited for what 2025 holds.

We are ringing in the New Year with the only way we know how: by making a trip to Disney World! We are checking out what the crowds look like today, and of course, we are bringing you along with us.
We are celebrating the start of a brand-new year in the Most Magical Place on Earth, along with LOTS of other Disney guests. But just how crowded are the parks today? We are here to give you all the details!

As we headed into Magic Kingdom this morning, we noticed Main Street, U.S.A. was pretty packed.

The wait times were pretty high around 9AM, and a few rides were closed throughout the resort.

Later, Pirates of the Caribbean temporarily closed, too.

By noon, the wait times were pretty scattered. Some rides, like TRON Lightcycle / Run, posted a 100+ minute wait. Other lines, like the ones at Magic Carpets of Aladdin and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, were closer to 35 minutes long.

The queue for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad extended past the normal entrance. That’s how you know it’s a busy day in the Magic Kingdom!

Next stop, Tomorrowland! This section of the park is home to two of the most popular roller coasters in the Magic Kingdom, so it’s no surprise we found a lot of people in the area.

Even though the wait times were pretty high around noon, the park wasn’t totally filled with wall-to-wall crowds everywhere you went.

In fact, we found some parts of the park had PLENTY of breathing room! Look at all that open sidewalk — score!

Ultimately, we’ll say this. Is the park more crowded than usual? Yes. Is it unbearable? No! If you go in expecting higher wait times, you shouldn’t be surprised by what you see in the Magic Kingdom. On a major holiday like New Year’s Day, it makes sense that a lot of people flock to the park to start their 2025 with a bang. But, if you don’t plan ahead, the crowds might surprise you.
