Hold Up. We Bet You Have No Idea About This Disney World Hotel Secret!

We’re just going to say it: sometimes the Disney World hotels can be just as much fun as the Disney World theme parks.

Disney World hotels have so many cool things to see and do, fun activities (we love the Movies Under the Stars and making s’mores), and you’ll even occasionally run into a character or two. However, one Disney World hotel has a secret activity that we bet you didn’t know about (and honestly, we just discovered this for ourselves).

So the first thing you need to do is visit Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and then you’ll need to download the Play Disney Parks app on your phone. Believe it or not, Art of Animation is the ONLY hotel in Disney World that has its own little game on that app! You’ll want to look for “Stories of the Enchanted Gallery.”

Then you’ll see the Art of Animation lobby and what your goal is: to draw some stories and characters to star in the show. So you need to go to the Art of the Animation lobby and follow the game’s directions. We had to draw a dolphin!

You’ll be prompted to draw other things, too. You’ll also be prompted to search for things inside the lobby, so you’ll even have to do a bit of a scavenger hunt at the Art of Animation, too, along with a few other hotel-specific activities. Then the game will give you a fun little story based on what you drew.

This is a great activity if you’re staying at Art of Animation and you need to give the kids something to do while you’re waiting in line to check in or while you’re grabbing food at the food court. The game is free on the Play Disney Parks app and is available for both iPhone and Android.
