Most of Disney World is closed today, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have some good news to share!

EPCOT’s World Showcase is home to FANTASTIC eats from all over the world, and the Japan pavilion is no exception. It may be closed right now, but one restaurant in the pavilion is about to drastically open up its availability!
Takumi-Tei is a Signature Dining restaurant at EPCOT that offers guests a Japanese-inspired omakase gastronomical experience during which a chef curates the meal in one of five element-themed rooms. The restaurant has currently been closed on Tuesdays, but all of that is about to change.

According to the official Disney World website, Takumi-Tei is about to be open seven days a week beginning this November! Per the calendar, the restaurant is open for dining every day of the month and it appears that trend will continue into December.

This fine-dining experience was previously closed on Tuesdays AND Wednesdays, but guests were allowed to start booking reservations on Wednesdays just a few weeks ago. Takumi-Tei is absolutely one of our favorite restaurants, so it’s exciting to see the reservation limitations being removed!

Currently, guests can choose between two omakase menus:
- Kiku — The Omnivorous Course
- Hasu — The Plant-based Course
Both courses start at $250, tax and gratuity not included. Dishes include Japanese A5 wagyu steak, lobster tempura, seasonal sashimi, and strawberry yuzu sorbet. Signature cocktails, premium sake, wine, and craft beer are also available.

This restaurant features a private dining area known as the Water Room with a flowing waterfall that seats up to eight guests. Keep in mind that it can only be booked by emailing [email protected] or by calling (407) 827-8504. There is a $100 per party fee for the exclusive use of the room plus a dedicated server.
You should also be advised that this restaurant has a general $100 per-person cancellation fee for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of the reservation, so don’t make a reservation unless you intend to honor it.

As a Signature Dining experience, Takumi-Tei requires a dress code that “adheres to the restaurant’s sophisticated and upscale aesthetic. Clothing should be clean, neat and in good condition. Please no swimwear.” There is also an age limit of 8 and above.
