Disney World has some incredibly-themed restaurants, but one of the most unique can be found in EPCOT.
Space 220 restaurant has a space elevator that takes you from EPCOT in Florida to FAR above the Earth’s service for a dining experience that is — literally — out of this world. With its “windows” that show scenes from space (as well as some fun Easter Eggs), dining here is unlike anywhere else in Disney World. Space 220 is now celebrating a special occasion and has invited us to join the restaurant as we learn about what’s in store for its future!
Space 220 is celebrating its third anniversary at EPCOT and we were invited to the party, where we got to see a sneak peek at new menu items, as well as new Space 220 trading cards. So join us as we check out the celebration! We hopped on board the Stellarvator to leave Earth and head on up to the Space 220 restaurant.
We were most excited to learn about some new foods coming to the restaurant, all of which will make their debut on October 14th.
Space 220 Restaurant
Services: Table Service
The restaurant’s new menu includes two new appetizers (AKA Lift-Offs in Space 220 parlance):
- Neptune Tartae, which is a dairy-free platter of Bluefin tune, wasabi-avocado, pineapple, and Mango panpurri. There was a previous item by this name on the menu, but this is a completely different recipe.
- Grow Zone Sprouts Salad, a vegan and gluten free option which features roasted brussels sprouts, frisee, whipped ricotta, pickled onion, orange, pumpkin seed, and maple-dijon vinagrette. This salad is replacing the Big Bang Burrata.
Moving on to the main courses, AKA the Star Course, there are another two new additions:
- Managala Roasted Chicken, a gluten-free, Indian-inspired dish featuring spiced, marinated chicken, red pepper, carrot, tomato with coconut. This dish will be replacing the Slow Roasted Crystal Valley Chicken.
- Nebula Grouper, a pan-seared spiced grouper, with roasted parsnip puree, Swiss chard, and walnut butter. The grouper is replacing the Grilled Swordfish.
Finally, the entire dessert menu has been changed, with five new additions making up the new Supernova Sweets Menu:
- Lunar Carrot Cake, which is a carrot cake with cream cheese and candied pistachios.
- SOL, a chocolate tart with coffee sponge, hazelnut crunch, coffee mousse, and cherry gel.
- Cosmic Cheesecake, which is a chocolate cheesecake with chocolate crumbs, raspberry gel, and a chocolate dome.
- Capella, a maple mousse, orange curs, cranberry orange blondie, and chai cream
- Bode’s Swirl, a lemon chiffon, berry compote, marshmallow meringue.
In addition to all those food items, the restaurant is also introducing revamped versions of two of its most popular drinks:
- Key Lime Mule: Wheatley vodka, fresh lime juice, and key lime mix, and ginger beer.
- P(squared) OG : Â The same as the current recipe, with the exception of Jamaican rum replacing Malibu.
Of course, visiting Space 220 means you can grab some of those free collector’s cards that come with select non-alcoholic drinks. We got a sneak peek at some NEW cards, as well as returning cards.
We would like to wish Space 220 a very happy third birthday and wish the restaurant — and its new menu, which will debut next month — many, many more. Check back with AllEars again soon for more.
