Being flexible on your Disney World vacation is something we talk about often because it’s SO important.
You never know when you’ll need to think on your toes and adjust your plans — whether it’s because of rain, a closed ride, or something else entirely. And sometimes, something truly unexpected happens — which is what we’re here to warn you about.
Heads up for folks staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside this weekend! There will be a planned power outage that you may need to plan for. Hopefully, it shouldn’t impact your stay too much but it’s still important to know.
On Friday, September 20th, there will be a planned power outage between the hours of 1:30AM and 5AM at Port Orleans Riverside — something to keep in mind if you’re staying at this hotel this weekend. Luckily, it will be overnight but you don’t want to get caught by surprise and wake up to no power!
Disney World often has to do scheduled maintenance like this to keep things running in top shape, and it just might happen when you’re on your trip. We’ve also seen planned fire alarm testing and other events take place around the hotels as well, so you never know what you might run into.
If you’re not staying at Disney World this weekend, what are you waiting for?! It’s a great time to visit the parks and more, with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom and the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival happening now.
And, later this year, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays will kick off!
