How you choose to get to Disney World may impact the overall price of your vacation.

You can fly to Orlando which may include the cost of tickets, luggage, a rental car, or a ride-share ride to your hotel. You may also opt to drive to Disney World from your home. If you’re planning on driving to Florida, either from your home or in a rental car from the airport, then we have some good news for you!
According to AAA, gas prices in Florida have hit a two-month low! This is great news if you’re planning on driving to Disney World.

While the prices increased last week, AAA reported that the average cost of gas in Florida has now hit a two-month low by 12 cents. The average, $3.31 per gallon, is also 53 cents lower than at the same time last year. It’s also 33 cents lower than this year’s average price of $3.64 per gallon.

West Palm Beach and Boca Raton had the highest costs on Sunday at $3.49 per gallon while Crestview-Fort Walton Beach area saw the lowest at $3.13 per gallon, according to AAA.
AAA spokesperson Mark Jenkins attributed these lower prices to the change in crude oil prices, stating, “The price of crude continues to influence prices at the pump. Oil prices increased early last week on renewed optimism about the U.S. economy after a July domestic consumer spending report was better than analysts expected. By the end of the week, however, weak economic data from China caused oil prices to soften.”

If you’re planning on driving to Disney World you may want to budget in a little extra money for gas, and we suggest checking out the average gas prices ahead of your trip. Once you’re at Disney World, be sure to take advantage of their free transportation such as the Monorail, buses, and Skyliner!
