We are so FULL of emotions right now.
That’s because Inside Out 2 has been breaking records at the box office, and has since become the highest-grossing animated movie of all time. If you haven’t had a chance to catch the movie in theaters or if you’re waiting to see it again: we’ve got some great news. Disney just revealed a digital release date for Inside Out 2.
According to People, Inside Out 2 will be released digitally on August 20th, and then on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD on September 10th. The digital and home video releases will have bonus features, including a documentary on how Pixar created the new emotions in the movie: Anxiety (Maya Hawke), Envy (Ayo Edebiri), Ennui (Adèle Exarchopoulos) and Embarrassment (Paul Walter Hauser).
The digital and home video release will also include a feature on how a scene called “The Vault” came together, along with a three-minute alternate opening and four deleted scenes.
Inside Out 2 premiered in June and crossed $1 billion globally at the worldwide box offer less than three weeks after its premiere. Not only is it the most successful animated movie of all time, but it’s also the fastest animated film to ever reach $1 billion. Currently, the movie has made over $1.5 billion worldwide and is the highest-grossing movie of 2024.Â
So mark those dates in your calendars if you’re looking to see the movie at home. Disney has not yet revealed a release date for the movie on Disney+, but we’ll let you know when it’s announced. So check back with AllEars again soon for more.
