So much has recently changed in Disney World.
We’re not referring to the Country Bear Jamboree changes, or Test Track closing to make way for changes, or even the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Instead, we’re talking about Genie+ being replaced by a brand-new Lightning Lane system. Because of these changes, we think that some rides with the Lightning Lane Single Pass option could be harder to get in 2025.
Lightning Lane Single Pass is the new skip-the-line system that replaced the Individual Lightning Lane option in the My Disney Experience app. It’s essentially a pay-per-ride service that works with Disney’s most popular attractions. Now, you can not only purchase this option AHEAD of your Disney World visit (seven days in advance for Disney hotel guests and three days for everyone else), but you can also make your selections in advance.
Because these Lightning Lanes can be booked in advance, that means that at least two rides are probably going to be a lot harder to book in 2025.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at the France Pavilion is a VERY popular ride in EPCOT. The standby line is usually at least an hour long, but is often multiple hours long. Because EPCOT also doesn’t have a lot of rides (especially with Test Track being closed for a while), this Lightning Lane could sell out fast and will probably be a priority for many booking their Single Passes in advance.
That means you may not be able to book this Lightning Lane Single Pass if you wait until you get to EPCOT. If you want to ride it, this is a good one to purchase as an advance selection.
Flight of Passage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Speaking of super popular rides that almost always have hours-long waits, Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom will also be one of those Lightning Lanes that will be difficult to get. Animal Kingdom doesn’t have a lot of rides to begin with, so this one will be a priority to book in advance.
Fewer options usually mean more demand, and with Flight of Passage already being the most popular ride in the park, you’ll want to try to get this as soon as you can if it’s your priority.
