Why People Are Suddenly Hating on EPCOT’s Most Popular Restaurant

We’re not going to deny that you’ve got your work cut out for you when choosing which restaurant to eat at in EPCOT!

You’ve got a ton of great options to choose from like one that takes you up to space and another that rotates. Thinking about all of that, there’s one restaurant that consistently ranks among the top, but for some reason right now, there’s been quite a surge of negative reviews. Let’s talk about it!

As we mentioned, there’s a restaurant at EPCOT that seems to always be ranked at or near the top of all the spots there, but lately, it’s been very hit or miss. We’re talking about Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria which you can find in the Italy Pavilion. Let’s see if we can get to the bottom of this.

Let’s start by checking out what our readers have to say.

First up, one of our readers rated the restaurant a 6 out of 10 and shared, “My husband and I were so excited to eat at Via Napoli to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and we wanted to try the Prosciutto e Melone pizza. I’m not sure what we were expecting but this pizza was way too “out there” for our simple palates. From the reviews I watched/read this pizza was better than the sum of its parts, but we found the combination to be odd and off-putting. The arugula was overpowering to us and since neither of us loves this flavor, we chose to take it off. We SO wanted to love this pizza, but if you are curious and usually go for a more traditional pepperoni or meaty pizza, you will likely want to choose that instead.”

Another reader rated the restaurant a 5 out of 10 and shared, “Pizza was good. Daughter ordered Manicotti and it was a large square lump. Son in law ordered spagetti and meatballs, spagetti was overcooked (mushy) and meatballs were dry. Both entrees should have been sent back”

Another reader rated the restaurant a 6 out of 10 and shared, “Dined here for the first time last week. Ordered the Marguerita pizza. It was just okay. The bread with olive oil was very good.”

These reviews are then flanked by other readers who have rated the restaurant a 10 out of 10 like this one who shared, “The best pizza I have ever had, I literally crave it all the time when I’m not in Disney,” and this one who shared, “This was our favorite meal of the trip. Extremely reasonably priced came out to $27 a person even with a bottle of wine for the table. Castmembers were fantastic and everyone LOVED the pizza.”

It does appear that, as of late, people haven’t been enjoying specific pizzas from Via Napoli. Whether that comes down to their own tastes or unique flavor pairings from the restaurant, we’ll have to leave that up to you and keep checking back to find out more in the meantime.
