REVIEW: 2 NEW Eats Are Hiding in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Who else gets incredibly excited when Disney World announces new eats will arrive soon?

Docking Bay 7

If you’re in Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Galaxy’s Edge, you’ll likely stumble across Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. Here, you’ll find quick service meals ranging from sticky pork ribs to tuna poke bowls! Well, two NEW dishes just arrived to the eatery, and we’re headed to check them out!

Alright, y’all need to get excited for the new Black Spire Mousse and the Felucian Falafel and Hummus Garden Spread.

The spread!

First up, we have the Black Spire Mousse for $6.79! This is a white chocolate jogan fruit mousse atop a brownie pistachio brittle served with blue milk sauce, pineapple cream, and hibiscus sponge topped with a chocolate Black Spire coin.

YUM

This is a very fruity treat without being overly-flavored. The yellow dollop on top is pineapple cream, and it tastes just like a pineapple Dole Whip in whipped cream form! The blue milk cream gets a bit lost in the fruity flavors, but the mousse tastes like passion fruit. The brownie has pistachio in it, which you can’t really taste, and the brownie itself is more like a cake than a typical fudge brownie. This is a great option if you love fruity treats!

Delish

Next, we have the Felucian Falafel and Hummus Garden Spread for $13.29. This is made with chickpea falafel, roasted beet hummus, and beet-tomato-cucumber relish topped with garlic Toum sauce and served with grilled pita.

It’s…fine!

The falafel was very crispy on the outside but crumbly on the inside, and was delicious paired with the garlic Toum sauce. The veggie relish was fresh and juicy and worked well with the drier falafel. The grilled pita bread wasn’t anything outstanding, but it felt appropriate for the dish. The roasted beet hummus has a good taste to it at first, but it does have a “beety” aftertaste. It’s good, but not anything we’d come crawlin’ back for. There’s better Mediterranean food to be found elsewhere!
