When it comes to Disney World parks with great food, EPCOT is a top contender.

Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya is the new sushi bar and grill that has replaced Tokyo Dining in the Japan Pavilion of EPCOT, and believe us when we say that it does NOT disappoint. The restaurant opened in August 2023, and since then, our team members have had several meals here. We all agree on one thing: this restaurant is 99.999% perfect. There’s just one drawback. Let’s talk about it!
When it comes to atmosphere, food, and views, this restaurant hits all the marks. The restaurant is divided into separate sections themed to the elements, and you have the option to sit at the sushi bar and watch the food being prepared. If you’re in the main dining room, however, you’ll have a fantastic view of EPCOT’s World Showcase.

The staff is always courteous and provides glimpses of Japan’s culture, as many of them are Cultural Representatives from Japan. This takes the experience to a whole new level and allows for more appreciation of the food and environment.

Most importantly, the food is PHENOMENAL. It’s all prepared to perfection, and we enjoyed everything we tried from the drinks to the sushi. We truly can’t pick a favorite thing from the menu. Even the appetizers wowed us, especially this Wagyu Gyoza.

There’s only one problem. This restaurant HURTS our wallets! Yep, the prices are a bit steep. Many of the appetizers are quite affordable, but they aren’t very large, so we recommend ordering multiple if there are more than two of you dining.

As for the entrees, many of the meals are close to $30.

That might not seem too bad, but when you check out the specials…WOAH. The Sushi Fune is $300, which was phenomenal, but just not affordable. Another option is the Hashi bridge, which is only $100 — but that’s still pretty steep.

Despite these prices, we have to say that venturing to Shiki Sai is WORTH IT. The food is great and is definitely worth the splurge — especially if you’re celebrating something. We’ve been multiple times and never regret it.
If you’re hoping to make the dining experience a bit more affordable, you can totally share a lot of these menu items. Grab a couple appetizers and maybe share an entree or roll. This will make it much easier to look at that check at the end of the meal.

We totally recommend this restaurant, and so do many of our readers. Check out the reviews below, or leave a review of your own!
