The international Disney parks are getting some BIG updates in the future!

From Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea to the changes coming to Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris, there’s a lot to look forward to. And recently, Disney added another exciting addition to that list — a brand-new ride themed to Tangled!
Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris is getting some major updates! When World of Frozen opens the park will be transformed with a new name — Disney Adventure World. And located in the new Disney Adventure World promenade will be Raiponce Tangled Spin!

Raiponce is French for Rapunzel, and Disney already shared a sneak peek at the new Tangled-themed ride with some concept art. Take a look at the photo!

After seeing the concept art, there are three clues as to what this attraction will be like!
The Ride Vehicles
First of all, it’s clear that the ride vehicles are meant to be the boat that Rapunzel and Flynn Rider ride in during the movie’s famous floating lanterns scene. They even have their own lanterns hanging on the front!

The ride vehicles look to be a smidge more ornate than Rapunzel and Flynn’s vessel, though. They’re topped with painted accents and gold detailing. They look stunning!
The Setting
Next, we’re looking at the setting for the ride, which seems to be a mix of the lake from the lantern scene and Rapunzel’s tower. The boats are situated on blue ground that’s painted to look like water, and the iconic lanterns hang above riders’ heads.

However, the ceiling of the ride looks quite similar to the ceiling of Rapunzel’s tower — wooden and hand-painted. There’s even one of her sun symbols up at the top! It looks like an artistic way to mix both locations from the film.
The Ride System
And last but not least, we’ve got to talk about the ride system! Based on the way the vehicles are set up, this looks like it will be very similar to Alien Swirling Saucers or Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree.

If not quite the same as those, this attraction could also be a copy of a ride system like Mad Tea Party. Based on the circular plates in the ground, we’re more inclined to believe Alien Swirling Saucers, but we’ll find out when it’s constructed!
