Why Disney World Could Feel Totally Different on March 10th

We are here to make sure your vacations go as smoothly as possible.

Don’t forget to adjust your clocks this weekend!

Disney World will be feeling a bit different on March 10th, and we want to make sure you are ready for it!

An important event is happening this weekend: Daylight Savings Time.

We dread this one as much as the next person, because on Sunday, March 10th, 2024 at 2am local time, the clocks will go ahead one hour, and we will lose an hour.  So, make sure you change your clocks if you are heading into the parks this weekend.

The time change is almost upon us

In the early morning on Sunday, March 10th, clocks will be moving forward an hour, which means there will be even more daylight hours in the evening. But this could also affect your time in the theme parks!

Set your clock ahead one hour on Sunday

Keep a close eye on park hours and also be on the lookout for time changes! Some of the nighttime shows are starting at later times due to the time change. Happily Ever After will happen at 8:30PM beginning March 10th, and Fantasmic! showtimes will be at 8:30PM and 10PM beginning March 10th.

Additionally, Kilimanjaro Safaris will have adjusted hours beginning March 10th. The attraction will be operating from 8:30AM until 6:45PM, which is a slightly later open time, and the ride will now operate an hour later than before.

You will soon be able to catch a Safari later in the day!

Of course, also be aware of the time change when heading into the parks, especially on Sunday. We don’t want you showing up at the wrong time due to the time change. Rope drop might feel a bit different too, as the time change can mess with your body, and you may feel more tired than usual. Be kind to yourself as you adjust to the change!

It may take a bit to adjust to the time change!

Also, make sure to download the My Disney Experience app to keep up to date on park hours and showtimes. Don’t forget to move your clocks an hour forward on Sunday, March 10th so you don’t miss out on any of the fun!
