The Numbers Are In: Disney Fans Watched HOW MANY Billion Minutes of 'Bluey' in 2023?!

Okay, Bluey is literally EVERYWHERE, and we’re sure if you’ve got kids, you are very aware of that (although, let’s face it, we enjoy the show, too!).

We bet you’ve probably bought a few Bluey souvenirs (guilty), and we know you’re probably all caught up on Bluey episodes on Disney+. Maybe you’re even contemplating a trip to Australia for a new Bluey’s World Experience opening this year. Well, just how popular is Bluey on streaming? We’ll tell you!

Bluey on Disney+ is the #2 streaming show of 2023, only defeated by Suits on Netflix. So just how many minutes of Bluey did our kids watch? Okay, we hope you’re sitting down because the grand total is 43.9 billion minutes watched.

This is for a show with episodes that only run around 10 minutes (although a new longer episode is coming soon), meaning that a lot of those minutes are probably re-watches. Yep, we can confirm that kids are watching Bluey episodes over and over and over and over…

So how about movies? Well, two Disney movies DOMINATED the streaming charts for 2023. The most-watched movie of 2023 was Moana with 11.6 billion minutes watched. Coming second is Encanto with 9.7 billion minutes watched. Third was Super Mario Bros, but another Disney movie came in fourth: Elemental had 8.6 billion minutes watched.

Also, Frozen fever is here to stay, because it came in at #7 with 6.5 billion minutes watched. Two other Disney movies also cracked the top ten. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the only Marvel movie to make the top ten movies streaming in 2023, had 6.4 billion minutes watched, while Avatar: The Way of Water had around the same.

Overall, Americans streamed a whopping 21 million years’ worth of content on streaming services in 2023. This is actually up 21% from 2022 when Americans streamed 17 million years’ worth of content. Streaming is only getting more popular, it seems, despite rising prices and more ad-supported content.
