The holiday season comes and goes, and one of the most exciting parts each year is watching the parks and hotels transition!

But have you ever noticed that decorations seem to disappear in no particular order around the parks and Disney World hotels? Why does one hotel’s decorations disappear before the others? Is there any rhyme or reason to the UN-decorating process? We have an insider secret about how Cast Members take down decorations that you likely don’t know!
According to our friends at DisneyFoodBlog, a Disney World Cast Member confirmed that the order of decorations being taken down in the Disney World hotels depends on where the decorations are stored in the warehouse!

Wilderness Lodge is usually one of the last resorts to be decorated and the first to be taken down due to its (most likely) far-back position in storage. This way, Cast Members can unload front to back and reload back to front.

Holiday decorations usually stay up around the Disney World hotels for the first few days of the new year, and then they’ll start to go away. Decorations in the parks typically stay up a bit longer, but not by much.
