NEW Details Revealed for the Moana Meet and Greet Coming to EPCOT

We’ve had some BIG news about Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana recently.

We have been reporting on this new EPCOT attraction for a while, bringing you all the updates. We even had the chance to experience it for ourselves and soon everyone will be able to. At Destination D23, it was announced that Journey of Water will be officially opening on October 16th.

It was also announced that there will be a new Moana meet and greet coming to the attraction as well. This will be the second meet and greet location for Moana in Disney World. The first location in Disney’s Animal Kingdom opened in April for the 25th Anniversary of the park.

Now, we have new information about the second location that is coming to EPCOT soon. According to Disney’s website, “Moana is an adventurous explorer, and her voyages may bring her to World Nature from time to time. Be on the lookout for this wayfinder from Motunui near the entrance to Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana—and enjoy a special visit with her.”

While Disney mentioned it will be near the entrance of the attraction, we have seen some construction, still behind walls, near the new attraction. This area is located to the left of the entrance of Journey of Water. We aren’t sure what exactly this construction is for, but it could possibly be for the new meet-and-greet area.
