Genie+ has been hit with a number of changes over the past few months and now a surprising update has been revealed.

Back in June of 2023, a controversial change hit the Genie+ pricing system. As of June 27th, Genie+ pricing is park-specific. There’s one cost for the multi-park Genie+ option and separate pricing if you just want to buy Genie+ for a single park. Those prices can vary depending on the day and the park you’ll be visiting. Since that change, we’ve seen Genie+ prices go as high as $29, but on August 29th we noticed something different.
Over the past several weeks, the multi-park Genie+ option has ranged in price from $23 (per person per day) to $29, but on August 29th the price dropped to its LOWEST level since the park-specific pricing was implemented. On August 29th, the multi-park Genie+ option was priced at $20.
Genie+ for Magic Kingdom was also priced at $20 (again, lower than any other prices we’ve seen that park hit). Genie+ pricing for EPCOT was $15, again lower than recent pricing. At Hollywood Studios, Genie+ would set you back $20, which is also lower than recent pricing. Finally, Genie+ at Disney’s Animal Kingdom was $15. That is the lowest price Genie+ has been at this park, but we have seen many days in the past where Genie+ at Animal Kingdom has been at that price (so it’s not a new low).

In terms of Individual Lightning Lanes, these were the prices on August 29th:
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: $10 (we’ve seen it this low before)
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind: $14 (we’ve seen it this low before)
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance: $20 (we’ve seen it this low before)
- Avatar Flight of Passage: $15 (we’ve seen it this low before)
- TRON Lightcycle/Run: $20 (we’ve seen it this low before)

Now, is $20 for the multi-park Genie+ option the cheapest price Genie+ has ever hit? Not technically. Genie+ initially began at $15 per person per day, so it has been lower in the past. But this represents the lowest Genie+ pricing since the June park-specific pricing change.

So if you’re headed to Disney World today, it might be a good opportunity to pay for Genie+ if you were already planning to do so. But be sure to check on those wait times first to see if the Genie+ purchase is really worth it. And remember that this Genie+ pricing changes daily so it may be very different tomorrow and in upcoming days/weeks.
We will continue to monitor Genie+ pricing and let you know what we find. Stay tuned for more updates.
