TRON Lightcycle / Run opened in Magic Kingdom. Roundup Rodeo BBQ has opened in Hollywood Studios. Even the requirement for park pass reservations has changed a bit for Disney World Annual Passholders. But a lot has changed at Disney World hotels, and in case you aren’t keeping up, we want to remind you of those big changes.

Free Overnight Parking at Hotels

Over the past few years, Disney World charged hotel guests for overnight parking. The rate was previously $15 per vehicle per night at Value Resorts, $20 at Moderate Resorts, and $25 at Deluxe Resorts. However, in January, Disney World announced that overnight Disney World hotel guests would receive FREE complimentary parking.

Parking also remains free for Disney World hotel guests at the parks. Non-Disney resort guests, or those staying off Disney property, other than Annual Passholders, must pay a daily fee to park at the theme parks.

Hey, Disney In Hotel Rooms

Disney has introduced a new Amazon-Alexa-powered service at Disney World hotels. It’s called “Hey, Disney!” and it’s available via an Amazon Echo device provided in Disney World hotel rooms.

Hey, Disney!

The service allows you to talk to the device by saying “Hey, Disney!” and then ask it for everything from setting alarms, ordering things like extra towels and room amenities, answering questions about park wait times and bus schedules, and even having fun with Disney characters.

Would YOU Use It?

Although the service was initially supposed to come to hotels in 2022, the actual rollout of the service began in 2023. You can currently find it at Disney’s Polynesian Village ResortDisney’s Art of Animation ResortDisney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter, and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort.

Wake up with your faves!

It’s basically a personal companion that works like Alexa, but with a Disney touch. However, note that if you do NOT want to use the service, you can easily disable it in your hotel room.
