The Biggest Thing I Learned by Going to Disney World Every Day

Saying I love Disney World is an understatement.

Magic Kingdom

Going to Disney World every day means that I get to experience changes like the opening of Tron Lightcycle Run, new restaurants, and returning fireworks shows. It also means I’ve gotten to learn a lot — but there is one big thing that stands out!

Going to Disney World teaches you a lot of things. I’ve learned better ways to dress for the weather, what’s better in Disneyland versus Disney World, and even how to go to all of the U.S. Disney parks in one day. One thing, in particular, stands out though.

I go to Disney World every day!

The biggest thing I’ve learned is the true magic of Disney World is the people. Now that might seem like a simple idea but over the course of the last year, it’s been hard not to notice how much the people around you impact your Disney World trip.

Crowds in Disney World

Growing up, Disney Parks are all about the magic you feel when you ride the exciting and nostalgic rides, eat the yummy foods, and see your favorite characters. Most of the time, you don’t think about how those things happen or even the special little moments. You’re so caught up in the feelings of being there, and I get it!

Now that I’m there every day, I have time to stop and take in how the magic of Disney World is actually made. While we love to talk about appreciating Cast Members, I don’t think it’s made clear enough how special they are.

Cast Members on Main Street

When you’re eating your favorite Mickey Waffle, a Cast Member made it for you and another one served it to you. While you enjoy your breakfast, lots of other Cast Members are spread across the parks making sure your favorite rides are running. The people that make the magic happen are the most important part of Disney World.

We love Cast Members!

Not only do they make the rides run and the food delicious, they take the time to talk to guests and get to know us. I have had so many Cast Members make my day with just a simple conversation or a nice gesture. It is so important to value those who make your vacation even more special even though they don’t have to.

They make the day so special.

So the main thing I’ve learned this year? How important showing my appreciation is for the people who make it all happen. Cast Members are so easily overlooked when you’re busy running from rides to dining reservations. However, when you’ve stopped to wait in line or you’re waiting for your mobile order, take time to thank a Cast Member around you.

Cast Members welcoming Guests to Artist Point!

It might not seem like much to you, but I can almost guarantee it will help make their job a bit easier that day. Disney World is such a happy and safe place for so many people around the world. Without the special cast members that make it run though, our happy and safe place would cease to exist.

So overall, I have learned tons of tips and tricks through daily trips to see the mouse. However, the most biggest thing I learned is that without Cast Members, all the Disney tips and tricks in the world wouldn’t matter. Thankfully though, there will always be a need for Disney hacks! That’s why you should make sure to keep following AllEars for the latest Disney news and updates.

  1. One thing to keep in mind is that the relationship between guest and cast members is a two way street. I don’t care who you are, it doesn’t matter if you are ‘expected’ to treat people a certain way, it is very hard to navigate life with a smile on your face all the time. That Disney cast members do is pretty remarkable. They are people too with all the ups and downs and joy and heartache we all face. Cast members , I am sure, remember and greatly appreciate guests who treat them well just as much as we remember them when they do. It can really be summed up by the line in the Beatles song “The End”: “And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make”

  2. I had a young toddler have a complete blowout and I was wondering what to do and a cast member found out and gave me a $25 gift card to go buy another outfit so we didn’t have to leave the park!! I was wowed!!! Our day had added a few skips to our steps instead of a cloud of missing out on the happiest place! 🥰
