See What Disney Movie Is Now the World’s THIRD Highest-Grossing Film

Ever since its release, Avatar: The Way of Water has been creeping its way up the list of highest-grossing films of all time.

Back on January 30th, it officially became the fourth highest-grossing film by beating out Star Wars, but now it’s bypassed another HUGE milestone — it’s officially beaten out James Cameron’s Titanic!

According to Variety, the Avatar sequel has now generated $2.2433 billion globally, which is enough to beat out Titanic, which previously held the third highest-grossing spot with $2.2428 billion made at the international box office.

On IMAX screens alone, the film has made over $250 million, as many viewers want to see the film in a premium theater or in 3D. To make it to the number one spot, it’ll need to beat out the first Avatar and Avengers: Endgame.

Meanwhile, in North America, the film is currently the ninth highest-grossing film of all time behind Avatar (number 8) and Avengers: Infinity War (number 7), among others. In other Avatar news, we know that a new attraction is coming to Disneyland, and we can’t wait to hear more about it.
