It’s 2023, and that means tons of Disney World projects are still in the process of coming to life.
The Journey of Water attraction in EPCOT is moving along nicely, and the Cake Bake Shop in Disney’s BoardWalk is in progress, too. We decided to check on the Polynesian Village Resort’s construction as well, and a good bit has changed since we’ve last seen it!
The last we saw, there was lots of machinery on the construction site.
Now, however, a lot of that machinery seems to be spread out. A few small structures can be seen on the land, but most of the construction seems to still concentrate on moving the dirt and gravel around.
The two cranes on site are off separate from the other machinery and don’t seem to be moving anything around at this moment.
Back at the very end of December, we also saw cement trucks move into the area, and we saw lots of scaffolding up as well. Where that concrete went though? Right now, we can’t see and don’t know for sure.
This project is certainly keeping our interest with all of its changes, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news!

How long do you think it’ll be before we see a structure up the construction site? Tell us in the comments!
The name of the resort must change. With this new skyscraper going up, there’s nothing very “village” like about this resort anymore.
