Holiday traditions are a THING in Disneyland.
You’ve got the Festival of the Holidays in Disney California Adventure, you’ve got the Candlelight Processional, and you’ve got a TON of holiday snacks. But no tradition is more revered than getting one of those famous homemade candy canes.
We arrived early this morning to get in line for The Candy Palace on Main Street, U.S.A. This is one of a few locations where you can nab this special holiday treat. The line went all the way back past Jolly Holiday Bakery!
Here’s the thing — this line was just to get a spot in the virtual queue. We ended up waiting about two hours before we got to where we signed up for the virtual queue by giving our name and phone number.
Once we were in the virtual queue, though, it only took about 5-10 minutes before we received a notification that we could go purchase our candy canes!
Soon, we had our candy cane in hand! Yes, these are REALLY popular.
So if you’re looking to get your hands on one of these babies, you’ll need to have some patience — it can take some time. Here’s when and where you can grab one:
- Candy Palace at Disneyland Park: December 4th, 6th, 11th, 13th, 18th, 20th, and 24th
- Trolley Treats at Disney California Adventure: December 5th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th, 21st, and 25th
These are available in limited quantities, so once they’re gone for the day, they’re gone. Your best bet is to get to the location early and be ready to stand in line!
You’ll also need to make sure that you have a park pass reservation for the park where they’re being sold on that specific day.
