VIDEO: Get a Sneak Peek at the National Treasure Series Coming to Disney+

Disney+ has a bunch of original shows you can watch, but soon there will be another NEW one to check out!

Disney has announced that a National Treasure series will be making its way to Disney+! We’ve already heard a bit about the cast, gotten a first look at the show, and seen what actor from the original films will be BACK. But now we’ve got more news!

Disney has released a teaser trailer for the new series — check it out below!

During San Diego Comic-Con, Disney also shared a poster for the series and released more details about what fans can expect.

First up, according to Deadline, Disney shared that Harvey Keitel, who played Peter Sadusky in the original National Treasure franchise will be featured in the series as a guest star, reprising the same role! Fans will recognize Sadusky as the “FBI agent constantly at odds” with Nicolas Cage’s character Ben.

Will Nicolas Cage be in the series? It’s a question lots of people have asked. During Comic-Con, the team shared that they wanted him but he is very busy. Still, they said that “he’s very present in the series.”

In terms of other updates, they confirmed that the series will take fans to The Alamo and Graceland, and that the series may have some connections to the film through “page 47.”

According to the panel, one of the characters in the show (Oren) has even read Riley Poole’s book!

In terms of other stars, the series will bring back actor Justin Bantha to reprise his role from the movies as computer expert Riley Poole. It will also feature Lyndon Smith, Zuri Reed, Jake Austin Walker, Antonio Cipriano, Jordan Rodrigues, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

And Lisette Alexis will play Jess Morales, a 20-year-old woman trying to uncover her family’s strange history while also searching for hidden treasure.
