Did you know that you can run races in Disney World?
There’s a division of Disney called runDisney that hosts multiple races per year. There’s the popular Disney World Marathon Weekend, the Princess Half Marathon, and even a Food and Wine Festival-themed race called the Wine & Dine Half Marathon! Each of the Disney races is themed, and now we have a look at the medals for one of the upcoming races!
Disney recently released pictures of what the medals will look like for each of the races for the Wine & Dine event! Let’s take a look a them. First up, we have this Coco medal for the 5K! It says “2022 Wine & Dine” and has Miguel from the movie with two guitars, plus the whole medal is made to look like an upside down guitar. It also says “5K.”
Next up is the medal for the 10K, which is themed after Raya and the Last Dragon. It has Raya on one side and Sisu on the other. The medal also opens to reveal a silhouette of Raya that says “I Did It!”
The medal for the Half Marathon is themed after Soul and has Joe Gardner playing his piano on the front, and when you flip it around, it has the Disney World 50th Anniversary logo and says “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” and “I Did It!” The front of the medal also says “Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon.”
And finally we have the medal for the Two Course Challenge! The Two Course Challenge is for runners who complete both the 10K and the Half Marathon. In addition to this medal, they will also receive the respective race medals. This medal is gold and says “Two Course Challenge” and then opens to reveal Genie from Aladdin.
The Wine & Dine races are taking place this year from November 3rd to November 6th! And when you’re done running, you can head to EPCOT for the Food and Wine Festival to try an array of both new and returning items.
