When traveling around the Disney World Resort, you have a lot of options for transportation. You can use the Disney World buses, the Monorail, the Skyliner, boats, rideshare apps, and even Minnie Vans.

Minnie Vans are a rideshare offering that you can book using the Lyft app. This transportation option has not been available since the closure in 2020, but the Minnie Vans are finally officially returning at the end of this month on June 29th. However, we noticed something interesting in the Lyft app today.
When we were scrolling through the Lyft app today, we noticed that Minnie Vans were an option to book when looking for a ride within Disney World property. We priced out a ride from Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Magic Kingdom, and when we went to confirm the ride, Minnie Van was an option.

When we hit “Confirm pickup,” the app showed us prices for several ride options, including Minnie Van.

With the official reopening of the service two weeks away, it’s possible that Disney is testing the service or the service is in a soft opening. No official information has been shared, but it seems like, for now, the service has returned.

Minnie Vans were introduced in 2017 and get their name due to the decorations seen on the vehicles themselves — they look like Minnie Mouse! The cars are driven by Cast Members who are specially trained for this role and come with two car seats per vehicle. They were previously available as a transportation option to and from Orlando International Airport, but they will not be available for airport transportation when the service returns on June 29th.
We’ll be keeping an eye on the Minnie Van situation in Disney World, especially as we get closer to the official return date, so make sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest information!
