PHOTOS: What Disney World’s New Transportation Face Mask Policy Looked Like

As the situation with COVID-19 continues to change and develop, AllEars will be bringing you the latest relevant news that could affect a theme park visit.

Mask policies have changed across the United States this week.

Mask policies have CHANGED in Disney World

Masks have been optional for fully vaccinated guests in Disney World for some time now, but most transportation methods still required masks (besides the Skyliner). After a federal judge struck down the mask mandate for transportation in the U.S., Disney updated their transportation mask policy as well, and here’s a first look.

Before today, masks were still required to be worn by all Disney World guests in enclosed transportation methods, such as buses and the Monorail. Now, masks are optional for fully vaccinated guests on all forms of Disney World transportation.

Past transportation mask signage

This morning we visited the Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC) to board the Monorail to Magic Kingdom, and most people in line were not wearing masks, and we noticed the absence of previous mask signage.

There was also no face mask signage present at the TTC Monorail Station…

…and other guests still wearing masks. It was basically 50/50. Remember, the policy is optional, so you can wear a mask if you prefer.

Some people still wore masks

Overall, mask signage was removed from Monorail Stations around Disney World, but some guests are continuing to wear masks anyway.

Keep in mind that if you need to visit a First Aid Center, you may be required to wear a mask inside the building, particularly if you need to visit the back area of the center.

Other than First Aid Centers, face masks are now optional for fully vaccinated guests around Disney World. Keep reading AllEars for more news that could affect your next Disney World visit.
