Have you been to Disney World recently and sad to see that Expedition Everest in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is down for a lengthy refurbishment?
Of course, we try to keep you up to date on all ride refurbishments, and this one, in particular, originally had a reopening date of mid-April. However, it looks like Expedition Everest’s reopening date could potentially be delayed.
When we visited the official Expedition Everest page on the Disney World website, we noticed that the previous language that stated the ride would reopen in mid-April has been changed. Instead, there is no mention of mid-April. We also noticed that no hours are listed for the ride through April 30th.
We have seen the ride doing some testing recently, and one of our reporters spoke with a Cast Member today and was told that it should reopen within a few weeks. As it stands, though, for now, we suggest guests visiting over the next few weeks make alternative plans, just in case it isn’t available.
Expedition Everest has been closed since January 4th, so we understand guests wanting to see this popular ride reopen soon. We’ll keep you updated and let you know when we have a solid reopening date for Expedition Everest, so stay tuned to AllEars for more!

Well this is sad. Going soon, and was really hoping it’d be done by the end of the trip. It’s one of the best rides in DW.

they had 2 years of slowness to rehab things and they wait til they r crowded and back to busy when people r paying a ton of money the best ride is closed during easter break how insane
