The weather in Disney World is notoriously inconsistent. One day, you’re marveling over the blue skies and sunshine, and the next day, you’re stuck in the middle of a thunderstorm.

No matter how many times you check the weather forecast before your vacation, it’s pretty much impossible to predict the future. The good news is that we don’t have to! Thanks to some smart technology, soon we may be able to see what kind of weather is coming to Disney World before we step out of our hotel room!
A new collaboration between WeatherFlow-Tempest, Inc. and Disney Parks, Experiences and Products has plans to “co-develop new weather-based products and decision support tools,” according to PR Newswire.

The collaboration will utilize WeatherFlow-Tempest’s “innovative hardware, unrivaled data collection, and AI-based weather modeling” to help guests in the Disney parks better plan their day based on the weather. Currently, this project is in the very early stages of development, but maybe someday this technology could be integrated into the My Disney Experience app. We’ll have to wait and see!

According to PR Newswire, “WeatherFlow-Tempest helps customers mitigate the enormous impact of weather through point-specific weather information, automated alerts, and intelligent forecasting.” The company also owns proprietary Nearcast Technology™, which could help improve the guest experience in Disney World.

We’re excited to see how this partnership works out — when it comes to the weather, we need all the help we can get! In the meantime, stay tuned for all the latest Disney news and park updates.
