Disney+ Announces 'Muppets Mayhem' Series

Get ready for some mayhem to come to Disney+!

Nope, we’re not talking about the new TV-MA rated Marvel titles that will soon be added — we’re talking about a brand-new show that follows a well-known rock band as they record their first album. Oh, and did we mention it’s The Electric Mayhem Band from the Muppets?!

Disney+ has announced that “The Muppets Mayhem” will be coming to the popular streaming service!

The show will follow the Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem Band made up of Dr. Teeth, Animal, Floyd Pepper, Janice, and Zoot from the original Muppets Show, which debuted 45 years ago.

According to Disney, the band will go on “an epic musical journey to finally record their first studio album”. Electric Mayhem will be joined by “Nora”, played by actress and comedian Lilly Singh, a junior A&R executive who must wrangle the mayhem-filled madness!

The series will be produced by ABC Signature and The Muppets Studio, and is written by Adam F. Goldberg (“The Goldbergs”), Bill Barretta (“The Muppets,” “Muppets Haunted Mansion”) and Jeff Yorkes.
