Mardi Gras is here at Universal Studios! We’ve been tasting all the spicy Cajun snacks and dancing at the live concerts, but now it’s time for a little game — are you in?
If you’re looking for a little extra Mardi Gras fun, we’ve got just the thing for you!
You may know that Disney World hosts little scavenger hunts during its EPCOT festivals, but they aren’t the only ones with this fun idea! Over in Universal Studios Florida, guests can try the Krewe Crawl — a Mardi Gras-inspired scavenger hunt that sends you on an adventure all over the park!
To participate, you can buy a map for $10 (discounts do not apply) at a participating location. We got ours at the Universal Studios store! From there, all you have to do is follow the map and have Crew Members stamp all 12 locations! Once you complete the hunt, you can show your map to a Crew Member for a special prize!
We’ve tried the Krewe Crawl in the past, but this year, the scavenger hunt is only in Universal Studios. You won’t need to travel anywhere else to check off any spots!
So what are you looking for during this scavenger hunt? Mardi Gras masks! Here’s the first example, spotted inside the Tonight Shop. Isn’t it cool?
After that, we headed to the Film Vault store, where we saw this impressive Electric Planet display. So cosmic!
Next up, we went inside the Sahara Traders shop and found this cool pair of masks! Another spot checked off the map!
There are also little signs at each Krewe Crawl location with a little story!
From there, we made our way to Rosie’s Irish Shop, where we found a mask covered in moss! Do you have a favorite mask display yet? This might be the coolest one we’ve seen so far!

The Supply Vault store has some firey masks!
Unsurprisingly, SpongeBob Store Pants had some wacky masks!
Our next visit took us to the Men in Black Gear Shop, where we found these sparkly masks.
Then, fittingly, we found this mask at the Custom Gear store.
Time for a stop by the San Francisco Candy Factory! Now we’re craving candy, too; thanks Universal.
Look at the wild mask we found at the Five and Dime store! Is that a wolf, or some other creature? Either way, we wouldn’t go near it!
Finally, we headed to the Silver Screen store, where we officially checked off the final stop on our map.
This is also where you can redeem your completed map for a prize, so we suggest heading here last! Once you finish the scavenger hunt, show your map to receive a colorful Mardi Gras mask!
Given the nature of the scavenger hunt, we’d say this is a pretty fitting prize!
