2022 has been pretty WILD for Disney World…but not in the way you’d expect!

There haven’t been any big grand openings or gigantic changes yet (a lot of that happened at the end of last year), but the crowd levels have been off the charts! Historically, we’ve seen low crowds throughout much of January and February, but this year has brought 6-hour lines and ridiculously packed parks for what is supposed to be the “off-season.” And this morning, we ran into something we definitely didn’t expect!
Before heading into Magic Kingdom, we parked at the Transportation & Ticket Center, as usual, ready to conquer the day! What we didn’t expect to see was a ridiculously long line at security.

Throughout our time waiting, it kept growing and growing. By the time we got closer to the front, the Cast Members were warning the guests at the back that it would be at least an hour before they’d be able to get into the park. WOW!

Yeah, it’s definitely not this busy on a typical day.

We finally got through and made it to the monorail, which, unfortunately, had a line of its own. This entire process usually takes us less than 30 minutes at this time of the morning, but today it took a little more than an hour to get inside Magic Kingdom from the parking lot.

We’ve been seeing some pretty ridiculous crowds lately, but none quite like this! There’s a Dooney & Bourke drop today, but other than that, we’re not sure why it’s so crowded.
So, it’s a little busy this morning 👀👀 pic.twitter.com/KKt8p9fiQV
