NEWS: Select Character Meet and Greets Will Soon Be Available Through Genie+ in Disney World

We’ve been seeing a lot of entertainment come back to Disney World lately, including the return of Kevin in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Olaf in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Vanellope and Joy in EPCOT!

Although we still can’t give these Disney friends any warm hugs yet, we can take socially distanced selfies and have a fun little one-on-one conversation! Now, Disney shared a BIG update about the character meet and greet experience in Disney World.

Beginning on January 26th, 2022, four “character sightings” (a.k.a. modified meet and greets) will be available through Genie+. This means that, if reserved, guests will be able to use the Lightning Lane for these spots and bypass the standby line to see their favorite characters.

Currently, Disney has indicated that the four “character sightings” that will become available with Genie+ are:

• Mickey at Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom
• Cinderella and a visiting princess at Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom
• Tiana and a visiting princess at Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom
• Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

You can see the character sightings marked as coming soon to Genie+ at those spots we mentioned above.
