Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Construction Has Hit a Major Milestone

One of the most highly-anticipated events this year at Disney World is the grand opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT!

Coming this summer, this ride will bring all of the thrills to World Discovery. While we wait for the ride to open up, we got an exciting construction update!

Imagineer Zach Riddley shared an update on his Instagram on the progress happening at Cosmic Rewind. He wrote that the team “started the installation of the Nova Corps Starblaster ship that will mark the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind entrance at EPCOT.”

The 51-foot-tall ship will be located at the main entrance to the attraction. Here’s a look at the concept art of what it will look like once installed:

Zach Riddley went on in his Instagram caption to write, “Once complete, this ship will be the signature icon of the Wonders of Xandar pavilion and immediately establish the Xandarian storyline guests will discover inside this new attraction. Plus, the bold blue and gold colors will make this a stunning new addition to World Discovery.” Here’s a close-up look at the ship:
