Disney World Gives Local Charities $3 Million to Celebrate 50th Anniversary

There are lots of great ways to celebrate Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.

You can check out the new merchandise, try one of the MANY new snacks, or head to a newly opened attraction! But we think Disney World found one of the BEST ways to celebrate this momentous occasion.

In honor of 50 years in Central Florida, Disney World is giving away a total of $3 million to local nonprofits and “magic makers.”

Disney’s goal with this project is to support local causes and “inspire a world of difference for children and families in our community.”

Six nonprofits are partnering with Disney World and receiving gifts:  Give Kids The World Village, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, Heart of Florida United Way, Hope Partnership, and ELEVATE Orlando.
