PHOTOS: First Look at the 50th Anniversary Food Coming to Magic Kingdom

Disney World’s 50th anniversary is almost here!

We’re ready for ya!

Tomorrow is the big day, and the theme parks are gearing up for new fireworks, cavalcades, shows, and more. One very exciting part of the celebrations is all of the food coming to the parks and hotels, and today, we got a first look at some of the new items coming to Magic Kingdom for the anniversary!

Main Street, U.S.A.

Over at Casey’s Corner, you will find the Pressed Penny Silk Pie. This is a chocolate tart shell with silky chocolate filling, sweet whipped cream, and a chocolate-pressed penny. Chocolate on chocolate? Say no more!

So fancy for Casey’s!

We got to see two exciting new items that are coming to Plaza Restaurant for the 50th. The first is the Monte Cristo Sandwich. That’s right, Disney World is finally getting a version of the sandwich that’s famous in Disneyland, but will it be as good?

Deep fried everything

The sandwich is bacon, roasted turkey, and provolone dipped in funnel cake batter and deep fried. It’s then sprinkled with EARidescent sugar and powdered sugar and served with a side of house-made strawberry jam. We can’t wait to try this one!

Yes, please!

One of the other new items coming to Plaza Restaurant is this massive dessert called Cheers to 50 Years!

This is HUGE

It has (get ready) chocolate and vanilla ice cream, brownies, cupcakes, cookie crumbles, pretzel rods, and hot fudge topped with whipped cream, EARidescent sugar, and an ENTIRE Mickey pretzel drizzled with caramel and chocolate icing. This will serve 4-6 people, unless you’re really, really hungry!

Think you could finish it?

Then, we checked out the Five Alarm Wings coming to Tony’s Town Square Restaurant.

These look spicy!

These are wings tossed in a sweet-and-spicy heat served with ranch dressing for dipping.

Tomorrowland

Moving on to Tomorrowland, we have the Uncle Orville Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow Sundae from Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies.

The bathtub is so cute

It’s chocolate and vanilla soft-serve, brownie pieces, hot fudge, and whipped cream topped with red, white, and blue sprinkles served in a “bathtub” just like Uncle Orville’s on Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress!

A LOT of whipped cream

At Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, you’ll find the Mission to Mars.

There is so much going on here

This is a burger topped with bacon and macaroni & cheese served on a bun dusted with crushed cheese-flavored puffs. It looks pretty messy, but that’s not going to stop us from diving in!

Fantasyland

Next, we saw one of the more adventurous items coming for the 50th — the Squids Revenge Drink. The drink pays homage to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Submarine Voyage, which was an opening day attraction in Fantasyland.

We are a bit skeptical…

The Squid’s Revenge will be available at Be Our Guest. It’s a michelada with a salted rim and garnished with charred octopus and cucumber. Yep, that’s a real octopus tentacle!

The colors are fun!

Remember Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride? It was another opening day attraction in Fantasyland that was replaced by The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Disney is celebrating the classic former ride with a few themed items, like The Toad Burger.

Just incredible

The item is a brat burger served on a bun with lettuce, tomato, and American cheese. And, of course, those two olives on top and the large pickle tongue to make the burger look like a toad! You’ll find this item at The Friar’s Nook in Fantasyland.

Cute and creative!

At Pinocchio Village Haus, a new flatbread will be on the menu! This is the Korean Short Rib Flatbread.

We’re looking forward to these flavors!

It has Korean barbecue, shredded beef, mozzarella, and red cabbage slaw drizzled with spicy ginger mayonnaise. This will definitely add some spice to the offerings at Pinocchio’s!

Liberty Square

Looking for something a bit more on theme for the Halloween season? Check out the Happy Haunts Milkshake!

Happy Haunting

This will be found at Columbia Harbor House. It’s a blackberry milkshake topped with a purple chocolate-glazed doughnut covered with black sprinkles. And look at that Haunted Mansion paper straw featuring the iconic purple wallpaper!

The straws make this drink

Following along with the spooky theme, we have The Doom Berry.

Drink if you dare…

This drink is blackberry ginger beer (non-alcoholic) with ” EARidescent” sugar served with another one of those Haunted Mansion-themed straws. You can grab it at Sleepy Hollow!

Blue as can be!

And finally, at the Outdoor Kiosks around the park, you can find Dumbo Churros.

We love a new churro flavor!

These churros are rolled in peanut dust and served with chocolate dipping sauce in a Dumbo-themed churro bag — so cute!

Chocolate and peanut butter are a match made in heaven
