While we stayed at Copper Creek Villas not too long ago at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort, the main hotel has since reopened to guests again!
Although the resort has had DVC villas available to stay in, the main hotel officially opened to guests for the first time in over a year this June. The Wilderness Lodge is looking a bit different, though, now that the rooms at the resort have also received a few changes! And, we’re giving you a full tour of the recently refurbished rooms!
The previous rooms had colorful carpets, striped carpets, maroon accents and a bed frame. But, now the darker elements of the rooms that were there before have been switched for a brighter and more vibrant appearance. The carpets have since been replaced for hardwood floors, tying in the rustic cabins that the Wilderness Lodge references.
The closet slides open reveal hangers, a luggage rack, and extra pillows and bed linens for guests staying there.
Another part of the closet has a safe, where guests can lock up their valuables, and a handheld steamer to straighten out clothing.
Close by, there’s an ice box and Keurig coffee maker with available coffee pods, creamer, sugars, stirrers, cups, and lids.
As a welcome gift to guests, the Wilderness Lodge has also provided cookies as an extra treat to visitors.
A mini fridge is also available to stock full of the drinks and snacks you take home from the parks.
The room also has a trash can and recycling area to place waste inside.
Now that the beds have been changed, there are headboards with a wooden appearance and bright white sheets, blankets, and pillow cases.
The headboards have a reading light that can be popped out as you wind down for the evening…
…and the beside table also has spots to plug in their electronics or use additional lights. The phone and TV remote are also placed next to the beds…
…with a Bible inside the drawer for the usage of guests as well.
Instead of the previous TV cabinet that used to be there, now a chest of drawers has replaced it with a television hanging on the wall.
The chest of drawers has plenty of space, so guests can unpack their bags during their stay at the resort.
There’s also a seating area where guests can dine together at the table…
…or they can pull out the bottom part of the table to make a desk, if you need to send off a quick email or finish up some work.
The new Wilderness Lodge rooms also show off illustrations with appearances from characters like Winnie the Pooh, Bambi…
…Chip ‘N Dale, and the Country Bears.
A few signs around the room point to the campsites available on the Wilderness Lodge’s property.
The far wall also has a lighting panel that has a colorful, marble design that connects the bedroom…
…to the bathroom and vanity area. The mirror has cosmetic lining…
…as well as a cosmetic mirror so you can have a closer look at when you’re doing your face care or putting on makeup.
The granite countertops have a sleek appearance that is more modern that the other features around the Wilderness Lodge.
Guests have access to Disney’s H20+ body lotion and facial soap to use during their stay.
The cabinets below the countertop also have extra towels and tissues…
…extra toilet paper and Kleenex…
…and a hairdryer.
The bathroom comes with a bathtub…
…and shower with a movable nozzle.
The shower also comes with H20+ shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the reusable canisters being put in hotels across the property.
A trash can is available to guests next to the toilet and toilet paper holder.
Guests are also able to open the new curtains with a leaf pattern to tie in the outdoor element of the resort…
…to sit on the patio area throughout the day.
The separate patios between rooms have a divider so guests have privacy.
Wow, look at that GORGEOUS view of Wilderness Lodge’s property!
We love how modern and sleek the updated rooms look with a fancier appeal to guests staying at the Deluxe Resort. And, as more hotels across the Disney World property continue to open to guests and debut changes, we’ll be sure to give you all the latest details! We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge at the end of January. This is one of our favorites, although we haven’t stayed here in a number of years. Wasn’t sure about the new decor but everyone in our group seemed to be very happy with the rooms. Nice update. Only thing we took issue with is Disney’s cost cutting. Housekeeping is only offered every other day or not at all – and only consisted of replenishing towels. Gone are the days of making up your bed, any addtional cleaning or towel sculpures left on the bed. I guess you don’t miss it if you hadn’t stayed here before. And finally this is considered a Deluxe resort – how about something better than single-ply toilet paper. Like most other reviews we have seen since our trip we felt the same way – Disney is squeezing their guest for every dollar they can. It has always been expensive but the extra “touches” allowed you to justify the high cost, but their new level of cost and cost cutting left a bad taste.
I love the Wilderness Lodge…possibly my favorite but I much prefer the original look…this is too modern…the headboards are ugly and the all white bed linens look like a hospital bed. Disney used to have such beautiful bedspreads in all their resorts. So much lost. Before it was warm and rustic but now they’re trying to make it modern and elegant and it’s out of place. Atleast the view is still great.
So much agree. I love the Wilderness Lodge.
