MORE Details Revealed About Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe

Universal Orlando Resort currently has three exciting theme parks: Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay. And there’s a NEW addition still in the works: Epic Universe!

Universal Orlando

Today we got some NEW details about what is in store for the upcoming park!

One thing we do know about Epic Universe: it’s going to be BIG. In fact, according to the Orlando Sentinel, NBCUniversal’s CEO Jeff Shell, has said that it’ll be “just a little bit smaller than [Universal] Beijing.”

Shell said the attractions in this massive park will be based on “some of the Illumination and DreamWorks content but especially Nintendo.” From Illumination, we might see rides from Despicable Me or from movies based on Dr. Seuss’s books. DreamWorks created Shrek and How to Train Your Dragon, so rides based on these are also possible!

One movie franchise that Shell didn’t mention was the Harry Potter movies, which of course already have attractions in two of Universal’s other parks.

Universal hasn’t yet confirmed if Harry Potter will be absent in the newest park, so Potterheads should keep their fingers crossed!

    1. I was coming to say the exact same thing! How could you not expand on the franchise that put you on the map with the big boys? I think we’re all hoping for Fantastic Beasts in this park. I’m sure they’re just waiting to make a dramatic announcement since it’s such a big deal to so many people. I know people are excited about Nintendo World but for the life of me I can’t understand why? Was it ever that big of a thing? A ride, maybe, but a whole land?
