Occasionally, a ride, shop, or hotel will close for refurbishment in Disney World.

Here at AllEars, we keep you posted on all those closures! So today, we’re bringing you a refurbishment update on all the attractions that will be unavailable from June 7th-13th 2021.
Magic Kingdom Refurbishments
Walt Disney World Railroad
The Walt Disney World Railroad has been closed for over 2 years, while construction on TRON: Lightcycle Run takes place! That work is currently blocking the train’s path around the park.

Since TRON construction is reportedly delayed, it could be a while before the Railroad is able to get up and running again. Disney hasn’t announced a reopening timeline, but we’ll keep you posted as we learn more!

The Hall of Presidents
Speaking of lengthy closures — the Hall of Presidents closed in January to add an audio-animatronic for President Joe Biden! This is a routine refurb that happens each time a new president is elected.

Disney hasn’t announced an opening date yet, but we’ll keep an eye out for one!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Just next door in Frontierland, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is closing from June 7th-12th.

Disney hasn’t indicated what kind of work is happening to the wildest ride in the wilderness, but it should be quick!

Main Street Confectionery
Our last stop in Magic Kingdom is Main Street Confectionery, which has been closed for a little bit now! While this refurb is taking place, you can snag all your sweet treats at Main Street Cinema.

Again, no reopening date has been announced here, either! But we’ll let you know when it is.

Disney World Resort Refurbishments
Now we’re stopping by some hotels! Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is seeing a major transformation to its entryway, lobby, and monorail station. Meanwhile, the guest rooms are getting a new Moana theme! You’re able to make reservations now for stays beginning this July.

Last but not least, the Main Tower Guest Rooms are being refurbished at Disney’s Contemporary Resort! Other than the obvious signs of construction, your visit should be relatively unaffected by this project.

Disney hasn’t announced exactly what kind of work is being done, but we’re excited to see the final product!
