There are a bunch of refurbishments going on in Disney World right now!
The infamous year-long closure of the PeopleMover is over (finally), but major aspects of Disney World, like the Main Street Confectionery, remain under refurb. Now, a major Disney World coaster is getting a quick refurbishment!
When you think of iconic Magic Kingdom rides, there are probably many that come to mind, but one of those is usually Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. And “the wildest ride in the wilderness” will go under refurb in June!
Based on the refurbishment calendar on the Disney World website, the refurbishment for the famous coaster begins on June 7th.
It’s a quick refurb, because the last day it is listed on the calendar is June 12th.
You can see that on June 13th, it disappears from the calendar. If you visit Disney World during this time, be sure to plan accordingly!
