The movie industry continues to shift in the wake of the pandemic. Although theaters have largely reopened across the country, and movies are once again heading to the big screen, studios continue to pivot and shift.

The latest bit of movie musical chairs comes with the rescheduling of several Disney-owned properties in the months and years to come.
After more than a year of shuttered theaters, Disney is finally back to showing movies on the big screen. Sure, movies like Cruella, Black Widow, and Luca are still available on Disney+, but it’s nice to have the theatrical option again!

Now comes the tricky process of finalizing release dates!

According to Deadline, Disney just announced several changes to its slate through 2023, starting with the earlier-than-expected debut of Searchlight’s The Eyes of Tammy Faye. The Disney-owned studio was set to release on September 24th, but has now been bumped up to September 17th.

Then there’s the Marvel news, and there’s lots of it!

Though shrouded in mystery, Disney is moving an untitled Marvel movie from October 7th, 2022, to October 6th, 2023. This replaces an untitled Disney live-action movie that was originally set for that date. Hmm.

Then there’s another untitled Marvel movie that’s set to replace a 20th Century movie on November 10th, 2023. Although none of these had titles yet, it’s interesting to keep up with what we could see in the next couple of years!
