It’s been another busy week filled with lots of new eats and drinks in Disney World!
Between new treats at Disney World Resort hotels and Mother’s Day snacks already showing up in the parks, we had a busy week. So, put on your stretchy pants and check out the best things that we ate this week!
These are the 5 BEST things we ate this week in Disney World!
Roaring S’more
First up is a brand new treat over at the Roaring Fork in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Called the Roaring S’more, this dessert is a new twist on a classic s’more and is made with a graham cracker cake, caramel marshmallow center, and chocolate mousse, topped with a chocolate Mickey decoration. And, what you don’t see on the outside is that there are chocolate and caramel flavored crispy pearls inside the marshmallow!
We really liked both the look and the taste in this one! The crispy pearls provided some salty flavor to balance out the sweet marshmallow and chocolate, though the graham cracker cake could have used more flavor. But, that didn’t stop us from eating every last bite! You can give it a try for $5.79.
Mother’s Day Cupcake — Select Disney Resorts
Over at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort in Artist’s Palette, we found one of the first Mother’s Day treats coming to Disney — the Mother’s Day Cupcake. And, it almost looked too pretty to eat!
The cupcake is a vanilla cake with peach compote, spiced vanilla buttercream, peach mousse, and a white chocolate hat with fondant green flowers with a pipped vanilla buttercream rim. And, if you’re thinking those are some interesting flavors for a cupcake…they were, but we really liked how the peach and cinnamon flavor added to the taste!
If you want to give it a try, you’ll have to head to Disney soon because it is only available until May 9th and can also be found at Good’s Food to Go in Disney’s Old Key West Resort for $5.99.
Cherry Blossom
And, while we were at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, we stopped by one of the dining locations that has been full of surprises recently — Drop Off Bar. We’ve enjoyed some of their current specialty drinks so we decided to give another one a try. The Cherry Blossom is now on the menu and is made with New Amsterdam Gin, Pom Pomegranate Juice, House Made Lime Juice, and topped with a splash of Grenadine and edible flower.
We really liked this fruity cocktail and thought that it was one refreshing sip! We would definitely get this again on a warm summer day in Florida — and you can too for $14.
Mother’s Day Mimosa Miniature Gâteau
Now, if you thought that the Mother’s Day Cupcake looked too pretty to eat, wait until you see this one! The Mother’s Day Mimosa Miniature Gâteau is a limited-time offering at Gasparilla Island Grill in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It is a champagne-infused sponge cake with orange-scented mousse and topped with white chocolate slipper and that’s really what makes this one so Instagrammable!
After giving this guy a well-deserved photoshoot, we took a bite and were impressed to find that we could actually taste the champagne and orange flavors in the cake, just like a mimosa. This treat is available for $7.99 but isn’t sticking around for long– it’s only available until May 9th.
Mother’s Day Cupcake — Disney’s Animal Kingdom
So, Disney didn’t necessarily come up with creative names for their Mother’s Day snacks, but we did find another Mother’s Day Cupcake that’s different from the one at the resorts in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! This cupcake is a chocolate cake with strawberry ganache filling and white chocolate frosting, topped with a chocolate piece featuring a mom and baby rhino.
According to our taste buds, strawberry and chocolate go hand-in-hand, so we thought this one was a winner. Our only complaint is that the frosting had more of a buttercream taste than white chocolate — but, hey, we can handle that! This Mother’s Day treat is available at Creature Comforts, Flame Tree BBQ, AND Restaurantosaurus for $5.99 and you’ll get some extra time for snacking with it available through June 1st.
We may have gone a little hard on the sugar this week, but can’t help ourselves with all the new treats that Disney is releasing right now! There are more Mother’s Day and Star Wars Day treats to come next week, so we’ve got to get back to snacking! Stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney World eats and drinks!
